MSE PRO™ Condensate Water Test Chamber, provides a consistent and unified test condition and method for the test body used in damage research under humid conditions (such as condensation water-constant climate conditions or condensation water-changing climate conditions).
- The test machine is made according to the international industrial standard ISO 6270-2.
- The purpose of the test is to explain the reaction produced and to understand the corrosion defects of the tested body in humid environmental conditions. The climate conditions used for the test are not used as a basis for predicting the service life of the coating in the actual use environment.
- After the humidity treatment, the test body is either evaluated in accordance with the agreed international standards such as the International Industrial Standard ISO 4628 for coating material-coating damage-judging the number and size of damage and the uniformity of appearance of the evaluated part of the strength or evaluated in accordance with the method agreed upon by the contracting party.
- The climatic conditions of the condensate test can cause the moisture in the air to condense on the surface of the tested body by reflection from the inner wall of the test chamber or by cooling the tested body so that its temperature is less than the saturation of the air inside the test chamber.
- The temperature of the test chamber during condensation should be 40℃ as described in ISO 6270-2.
- The climate conditions for condensate water testing can be either constant normal climate conditions (CH) or alternating climate conditions (AHT, AT). If the tested object is significantly affected by alternating air temperature and humidity, the normal climate condition test can be omitted, and an alternating climate condition test can be conducted instead.
- For condensation, the amount of condensed water formed on the surface of the test body can be affected by cooling the working space environment temperature or the test body.
- The condensed liquid that drips from the surface of the test is composed of condensed water and possibly dissolved and mixed solid and liquid components from the surface of the tested body.
- As a result of the mutual comparison, only under the same climatic conditions and during the same test can a 24-hour cycle be generally used in alternating climatic conditions. In contrast, shorter cycles (12 hours and 16 hours) are selected in the AT climate state, with the corresponding reduction in the test time for each stage.
