Product Description :
HybridoXL™ Medium is a medium specially developed for propagation of hybridomas and other fastidious cell lines. It is a modified mixture of Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium and NCTC 135 supplemented with insulin. On supplementation with 10% fetal bovine serum it supports rapid growth of many hybridoma cell lines.
AL206A is HybridoXL™ Medium with L-glutamine, HEPES buffer, insulin and sodium bicarbonate. HEPES, a zwitterionic buffer having a pKa of 7.3 at 37°C, prevents the initial rise in pH that tends to occur at the initiation of a culture and increases the buffering capacity of the medium. Users are advised to review the literature for recommendations regarding medium supplementation and physiological growth requirements specific for different cell lines.
