General Information
Enrofloxacin is a third-generation quinolone antibacterial drug, also known as ethyl ciprofloxacin. It has obtained U.S. FDA approval on October 4, 1996, dedicated to livestock and aquatic products. It can bind to the bacterial DNA gyrase A subunit, thereby inhibiting the enzyme's cutting and joining functions, preventing bacterial DNA replication, and exhibiting antibacterial effects.
