Description: CD16, also known as FcγRIIIa, is a low-affinity activating Fc receptor expressed on NK cells, monocytes, and neutrophils. It is present on nearly all CD56(dim) peripheral blood NK cells and marks the mature NK subset. CD16 engagement on NK cells leads to powerful stimulatory signals, resulting in the release of cytotoxic granules and cytokine secretion.
