2019 Best Materials Engineering Graduate Programs Ranking by U.S.News (2016 - 2019)

U.S.News best materials engineering programs ranking 2018, 2017, 2016
US News & World Report just published its 2019 ranking of the best graduate schools and programs in the U.S. (ranked in 2018).  Among the materials science and engineering programs, what are the changes from the 2016 to 2019 rankings? MSE Supplies (www.msesupplies.com) has compiled the ranking data from the last 4 years and highlighted some interesting changes of ranking spots.

2020 ranking of the best materials engineering graduate programs in the U.S. (ranked in 2019). 

  • Among the top 10 schools, UC-Berkeley has advanced the most on the rankings over the last 4 years, leaping from No. 6 to No. 3.
  • Harvard University, ranked at No. 11, moved up 3 spots from last year when it was at No. 14.
  • Ohio State University continued to climb up over the last four years from No. 20 to the current spot of No. 14. 
  • UT Austin is now ranked at No. 21 as compared to No. 31 a year ago. 
  • Among the top 50 programs, University of Central Florida gained an impressive 21 spots from last year. In addition, both Duke University and Michigan State University moved up from last year's No. 46 to this year's No. 30.
