Purpose and Application:
MPEC is a luminescent reagent that reacts specifically with superoxide.
Features:
A higher signal-to-noise ratio can be obtained in a neutral solution than conventional luminescent reagents (lower graph), and since it is less reactive with dissolved oxygen, it is possible to detect low concentrations of superoxide.
