Immunomodulator
Functions
A potent immunoregulator that suppresses IgE production. Suppresses innate immunity by down-regulating TLR2, TLR4 and CD14 gene expression on splenocytes stimulated with LPS and TLR2/TLR4 agonists. Prevents bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in mouse models. Potent inhibitor of Th2 cells in vivo and together with a Treg cell inhibitor promotes BCG vaccine efficacy against tuberculosis. Antiasthmatic agent effective for antileukotriene nonresponders. Orally active.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 50 mg/ml) or in Water (up to 50 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or distilled water may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
