Thrombin inhibitor

Functions

Potent and selective thrombin inhibitor (Ki = 19 nM). Prevents platelet-rich arterial thrombosis in a rabbit model. Ameliorates early brain injury and improves neurological outcomes after subarachnoid hemorrhage in a rat model. Reduces breast cancer malignancy and metastasis via osteopontin-dependent and independent mechanisms.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 50 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 month.
