The cap design allows the automatic venting of steam and air during the heating section of the steam sterilisation cycle. Afterwards the cap automatically creates a hermetic seal at the end of the cooling cycle as a vacuum is formed inside the bottle. The DURAN® Autoclave bottle and cap can be used for the short-term storage of the sterilised liquids.
