Applications 

Gadolinium Chloride Hexahydrate (GdCl₃ · 6H₂O) is a colorless rare earth salt. Its applications are mainly in medication. It is used as relaxation agents in magnetic resonance imaging and as a macrophage inhibitor which inhibits the specialized liver macrophages, Kupffer cells that line the walls of the sinusoids.
