Product details:

4A molecular sieve is an alkali alumino silicate. It is the sodium form of the Type A crystal structure. 4A molecular sieve has an effective pore opening of about 4 angstroms (0.4 nm). 4A molecular sieve will adsorb most molecules with a kinetic diameter of less than 4 angstroms and exclude those larger. Such absorbable molecules include simple gas molecules such as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and straight chain hydrocarbons. Branched chain hydrocarbons and aromatics are excluded. These 4A Molecular Sieve Beads are specially designed for Vehicle Break System due to their high strength.

Molecular Sieve Product Options and Choices: 4 to 8-mesh molecular sieves are normally used in gas phase applications, while the 8 to 12-mesh type is common in liquid phase applications.

Applications

- Drying and removing of CO2 from natural gas, LPG, air, inert and atmospheric gases, etc.
- Removal of hydrocarbons, ammonia and methanol from gas streams (ammonia synthetic gas treating)
- Special types are used in the air break units of buses, trucks and locomotives.
- Universal drying agent in polar and nonpolar media

-Adsorbed species include SO2, CO2, H2S, C2H4, C2H6, and C3H6

Note Drying or regeneration is recommended before first use to remove the absorbed moisture and organic molecular.  Heat the molecular sieves to 200-315 °C purging with a carrier gas.
