MSE PRO Cell Fusion System for Electrofusion/Electroporation
MSE PRO™ Cell Fusion System for Electrofusion/Electroporation
The MSE PRO™ Cell Fusion System utilizes pulses of electric fields that can induce the fusion of neighboring cells (electrofusion) or create a porous cell membrane (electroporation) to allow for transfection of macromolecules. Both techniques are reproducible and non-toxic techniques widely used in researching cell-cell interactions and intracellular pathways. Many applications have clinical significance in diagnostic testing, therapeutics and vaccine development.

Performance | Description |
String AC electric field frequency 1MHz-2.5MHz (optimal stable value) | Biological cells can be arranged in strings in an alternating electric field and come into contact with each other. This frequency is designed for a wide range to provide the best frequency choice for the arrangement and fusion of different types of cells or protoplasts of animals, plants, and microorganisms |
String AC electric field voltage 1-58V | This voltage range can collect cells ranging from plant protoplasts to bacterial volumes. This voltage range also meets the voltage needs of large volume fusion chambers with wide electrode spacing. |
Fusion pulse voltage range 5-600V | This voltage range allows biological cells of any size to induce confluence in fusion chambers at different pole distances. |
Gate time 10-1000US | The AC field can be turned off at a set time when a fusion pulse is applied. This is equivalent to inserting a DC pulse into the AC pulse. |
Pulse width 5-5000US | Precisely control the timing of fusion pulses. Inducing fusion with multiple short pulses yields higher cell viability than confluence with a single long pulse. |
Pulses 1-9 | Adjusting the number of fusion pulses applied adds a selection index to determine the optimal fusion conditions for biological cells. |
