Product Details:

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene which is consisting wholly of carbon and fluorine. Compared with Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) binder, PTFE binder has better chemical and thermal stability because of its stable CF2-CF2 unit.  Compared to PVDF, PTFE binder is ideal for the applications in alkaline environment since PVDF will strongly degrade in alkaline environment via dehydroflurination. 

This PTFE binder is a fine dispersion liquid which is stabilized by non-ionic surfactant with a condensed PTFE solid content up to 60%. It is widely used to prepare electrode materials for batteries and super capacitors. Research has shown that supercapacitors using the PTFE binder can deliver better capacity and cycling performance.
